The 9th Leadership Training Camp of Tsinghua Affiliated High School students participated in the Hong Kong Leadership Course for secondary students

From February 1 to 6, 2018, 12 leadership Training Camp students from Tsinghua High School came to Hong Kong to participate in the Leadership course organized by the Hong Kong Mutual Culture Education Association。The six-day course takes place in Hong Kong and Macau, with the main course being a visit to SenseTime Hong Kong on the first day, followed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong on the following three days。

During the visit to SenseTime Hong Kong, the students experienced the artificial intelligence technology developed by the company。Through the professional explanation of the staff and the analysis of the current scientific and technological situation in the world, the students learned about the history, current situation and prospect of the development of artificial intelligence。It is realized that artificial intelligence has greatly improved the productivity of human society, caused changes and reorganization within various labor oriented and simple computing industries, and gradually replaced some low-intelligence occupations。Therefore, artificial intelligence is a huge variable to consider in future career considerations。Set up in the future career planning in the choice of career overall view。

In the course of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, students learned the first theme of the leadership course, "leadership and yourself", and had a preliminary understanding of the meaning of leadership。Realize that leadership is not power over people, but the attitude and ability to get along with people。Through the study of the letter ABC, the connotation of the upper word leadership is specifically divided into English words beginning with the letter ABCDEFG。Through the lecturer's explanation, the students deeply understood the connotation of leadership。In the afternoon, the students visited the campus under the guidance of the senior students of HKUST。With the guidance of two HKUST Innovation community members, they designed their own Innovation in small groups。From the current social problems, to explore the reasons, to find its solutions, and carried out a preliminary report。

In the course of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, students studied the second theme of leadership, "leadership and the world", to understand the world and understand the role of leadership in the world。After the lecturer's brief explanation of the current situation in Africa, a scenario setting game "Poverty simulation" was launched, in which the students became resource refugees in Africa, living by peeling coffee beans and selling money all day long, suffering from disease and food shortage。Through this game, students reflect on the current social phenomenon and cultivate empathy and global citizenship。And through discussion, combining social problems with Internet and other technology, the refugee problem is discussed and solved。In the afternoon of the cultural exchange party, the students had cultural exchanges with tutors from Korea, India, Germany, Malaysia, the United States and other countries, discussed the current acute social hot spots, and deepened the students' understanding and integration of different cultures in the world。

In a course at the University of Hong Kong，the students studied the third topic of leadership, "leadership and the future".，Cotton challenge through group activities，The students broke through the limitations of conventional thinking patterns，Master innovative thinking methods，Cultivate the ability of innovative thinking。Then, I deepened the Innovation of the team, reported in English, and completed the project together。Look forward to the future, reflect on the past and grasp the present through the "closed eyes step" activity。Set challenging goals and personal commitments in years, turning ideal expectations into motivation for practice。

Throughout the leadership course, students visited Hong Kong universities and Macao cultural attractions and science and technology museums, deeply experienced the campus and urban culture of Hong Kong and Macao, and carried out the deepening integration and sublimation of culture。During the visit to colleges and universities, students exchanged and cleared doubts with senior students of various majors to establish their own career planning and life goals。
